To provide a rolling bearing, with extended seizure life under high-temperature high-speed conditions compared to conventional devices.
This device comprises a core 14 of metal, formed annular, and bent outward of a bearing at a center part, a base part 15 of elastic material provided on the outer circumferential side of it, and a seal part 16 of similar elastic material provided on the inner circumferential side of it. The base part 15 of a seal 13 is elastically engaged inside a circular groove 17 provided in an inner circumferential surface of an outer ring 11. The seal part 16 is partly engaged with an annular groove 18 provided in an outer circumferential surface of the inner ring 12. Seal effect is achieved by elastic contact between a plurality of lip ends and the outer circumferential surface of the inner ring 12. In an illustrated embodiment, the base part 15 and the seal part 16 are disposed to be apart from each other, while an outside surface 20 and an inside surface 23 of the core 14 are partly exposed outward of the bearing 10 to improve heat radiation performance. Irregularities of proper form may be provided on exposed parts. A connecting part may be provided on the inside surface 23 of the core 14 to connect the base part 15 to the seal part 16.
