Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rolling bearing which is suppressed in structure change type peeling even when used under severe conditions vulnerable to breaking of oil film, like bearings for windmills and bearings for construction machines, and realizes longer lifes.SOLUTION: An inner ring 1 has a carbon content [C] of 0.50-0.85 mass%, a Vickers hardness (Hv) of 653-800 and a compression residual stress of 50-300 MPa, at the position of a depth (1%D position) corresponding to 0.01 time of the diameter (D) of the rolling element from the surface of the rolling surface. The chromium content ([Cr]=2.6-4.5 mass%, by mass%) of an alloy steel serving as a material constituting the inner ring 1, the retained austenite amount ([γ], by vol.%) at the 1%D position and the carbon content ([C], by mass%) at the 1%D position meet equation (1): [Cr]-5([C]-0.02*[γ])≥0.
