All the roll stands 1 having finishing calibers are used in the final stand place always on the outlet side. All the remaining used roll stands which are driven by at least one preceding motor 5 at this place and have the drawing calibers are disposed in the stand place immediately following the first stand place or the stand place existing just before the roll stand 1 having the finishing caliber and are driven by at least one intermediate motor 4 at that place.
