To ensure good body controlling force during drift based on an arithmetic error and a detection error of body rolling speed and improve comfortableness of a vehicle during the drift.
As a compensation processing control rule of drift of body rolling speed calculated by a detector disposed on a floor of a vehicle body right above front and rear bogies, a positive sign and a negative sign of the body rolling speed are distinguished every time they are successively stored in a controller, compared to signs based on a result of the body rolling speed previously processed and counted up when they match, while they are reset when they do not match. Moreover, in only cases where the count-up is performed for more than a preset time, a judgment is made that the drift is taking place in detection of the body rolling speed, and control is so performed that instead of allowing a semiactive damper interposed between the vehicle body and the bogies to function originally, an ordinary passing damper equalizing damping force in both expanding and contracting directions functions.
