PURPOSE: To raise the press-contact property of metallic sheets, to control a draft, and to adjust the sheet thickness ratio by driving one of a pair of rolling rolls, using the other as an idle roll, and making a different speed relation between both the rolls.
CONSTITUTION: In a pair of rolling rolls 1, 2, the roll 1 is connected to a driving mechanism 3, and the roll 2 is used as a freely rotatable idle roll. Also, coils 6, 7 to which metallic sheets Pa, Pb are wound, and a coiler 8 for winding a rolled clad sheet P are provided. The rolling roll 1 is driven to rotate in a direction as indicated with an arrow A, and the metallic sheets Pa, Pb which are fed out of the coilds 6, 7 are supperposed and inserted between both the rolling rolls 1, 2. As a result, the non-driving rolling roll 2 rotates in a direction as indicated with an arrow B as the metallic sheets Pa, Pb are move and deformed. Accordingly, the metallic sheets Pa, Pb are rolled, and a clad sheet P is obtained. The speed of the roll 2 is determined by moving speed and the deformation ratio of the material to be rolled, and its speed becomes different from the regular roll 1. In this way, the draft of the metallic sheets Pa, Pb is controlled, and the sheet thickness ratio is adjusted.
