Abstract:

To provide a rolling die capable of beautifully forming a knurled double-cut with high productivity.

The front pitch of a second machining tooth 21a of a segment die 20 is set to the numerical value b formed by dividing the length Ls of a second form rolling tooth profile surface 21 of a segment die 20 by the numerical value a formed by dividing the length of an arc Lc of a first form rolling tooth profile surface 11 of a round die 10 with respect to the segment angle θ by the front pitch of the first machining tooth 11a of the round die 10, or the approximate value c of the numerical value b. Thus, the speed of a blank per unit pitch of the machining tooth in a segment die 20 can be substantially equal to the blank speed per unit pitch of the machining tooth in the round die 10, preventing any slip in the blank in the first form rolling tooth profile surface 11 or the second form rolling tooth profile surface 21. As a result, any damage on a knurl can be prevented, and a beautiful knurled double-cut can be formed with high productivity.
