To provide a rolling element connecting band satisfactorily securing oil films on the contact portions of rolling elements, reducing rolling resistance and the wear amount of component parts caused by rolling of the rolling elements and improving the positioning accuracy of a movable member, and to provide a motion guide device equipped with the rolling element connecting band.
The rolling element connecting band includes a pair of band parts extending in a movement direction of the rolling elements on both side surfaces of the rolling elements, and at least one connection part extending in a width direction orthogonal to the longitudinal direction of the band parts and connecting the pair of band parts. The rolling elements are held by engagement of projections formed to project toward the rolling element from portions facing the rolling element of the band parts and recesses formed in the rolling elements. Clearances are formed between the connection part and the rolling element adjoining the connection part and between the rolling elements adjacent to each other.
