Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simply measure a plate shape of a metal strip after rolling in a simple structure in rolling equipment having a shape detection apparatus.
SOLUTION: In the rolling equipment consisting of single or plural rolling mills 4 having a pair of upper/lower working rolls 2, 3 to roll a steel strip 1 and shape detectors 5, 6 arranged at least at one side of inlet side/outlet side of the rolling mill 4, the shape detectors 5, 6 are provided with one roller 14 to be wound to the strip 1, bearing boxes 9A, 10A of at least two pieces at one side and four pieces at both sides to support so as to rotate the roller 14 through bearings and load cells 11A, 12A of at least two pieces at one side and four pieces at both sides to measure respective support loads of the bearing boxes 9A, 10A, the tension distribution of the strip 1 is calculated by the measured loads of the load cells 11A, 12A, a plate shape of the strip is expressed in the term of the tension distribution.
