Abstract:
PURPOSE: To produce product pipes of a wide range of outside diameters from a continuously cast hollow pipe stock at low cost.
CONSTITUTION: This rolling equipment train for seamless pipes is provided with an expansion rolling line for finishing continuously cast hollow pipe stock 2 to the final outside diameter larger than the outside diameter of the continuously cast hollow pipe stock 2 by expanding with an expansion rolling mill 4 and a reduction rolling line for finishing the continuously cast hollow pipe stock 2 to the final outside diameter smaller than the outside diameter of the continuously cast hollow pipe stock 2 by reduction with a reducing machine 3.
