Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To acquire a screw thread rolling device which forms a screw axis with high precision.
SOLUTION: This device is equipped with a rolling machine 2, a processing liquid feeder 3, a temperature regulator 4, a screw thread diameter sensor 5 and a controller 6. The rolling machine 2 has a die shuttle system 18 which moves either one of a pair of rolling dies 11, 12 back and forth, both dies are pressed against the outer circumference of a screw axis material W while rotating, and the screw thread is formed on the outer circumference of the material. The processing liquid feeder 3 feeds a water-soluble processing liquid H to the rolling dies 11, 12 through a feeding system 22. The temperature regulator 4 regulates temperatures of the processing liquid H. The sensor 5 measures an outside diameter of the screw thread rolled on the screw axis material W during rolling. The rolling operation is conducted by having the controller 6, based on the information on measurement data by the sensor 5, control the temperature regulator 4 to obtain a target temperature meeting this information and supplying the processing liquid H with its temperature being regulated to the rolling dies 11, 12 through the processing liquid feeder 3.
