Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a rolling method and a rolling mill which are capable of enhancing a plate crown control effect even for a plate with an intermediate and a narrow widths with a small difference in diameter.
CONSTITUTION: The rolling mill is provided with a roll bend device 12 for imparting a bending force to a work roll 11, and with a roll shift device 14 for shifting an upper and a lower work rolls in the direction opposite to each other in the axial direction; and the work roll is supported by backup roll 15 (or intermediate roll). The curve shape of the generatrix line the work roll 11 consists of five zones from the first zone 21 to the fifth zone 25. Thus, a changing capacity is greatly structured of a plate crown by means of the roll shift on a rolling stock with an intermediate or narrow widths; the curve shape of the work roll and a roll deviation displacement due to roll bend are superimposed on account of the combined use of the roll shift and roll bend; and displacement in the width direction of the roll is in a gently changing shape on the side where the outer surface of the work roll comes into contact with the rolling stock.
