PURPOSE: To carry out the continuous rolling without giving any restriction on the sheet width for next pass, by giving the special crowns for exclusive use of each of dissimilar widths to the work rolls in the stand on the downstream side, and by making free the pass through the stand of the crown which is not suitable for the width of the strip to be rolled.
