Abstract:
PURPOSE: To embody elongating and rolling with the highest possible efficiency without the deterioration of quality with a smaller number of roll stands by minimizing the number of the roll stands as far as possible.
CONSTITUTION: The rolling mill for elongating and rolling the hollow cast ingot on a mandrel has at least one main forming roll stand (1) of universal roll arrangement having position regulatable rolls (2, 3), a two-stage finishing roll stand (6) arranged behind the main forming roll stand (1) and a drive assembly (12) arranged before the main forming roll stand (1) in some cases.
