To provide an improved stand having a structure to make it possible to execute various works related to roll changing easily and quickly by using an equipment of the type normally used for an overhead travelling crane and a traditional rolling mill.

This equipment includes at least two rolls 15 supported by respective mounts 16 and 17 equipped with adjusting/blocking tie rods 18 and 19, and a combination of supporting legs 20 and supporting bodies 20a. The rolls 15 are installed to a center module 11, and the corresponding mounts 16 and 17, the tie rods 18 and 19, the legs 20, and the supporting bodies 20a are integrally installed in the form of two side modules. It is further provided with a high-speed clamping/high-speed unclamping system to link the center module 11 and two side modules 12 and 13 in a stable but separable way.
