Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide the roll rolling reduction method for a roller leveler for straightening a flatness failure of a rolling mill with high accuracy.
CONSTITUTION: An ascending/descending stand is allowed to descend by tilting it properly on the entry A side by a tilting rolling reduction device 13 and initial setting is executed. Subsequently, with respect to a driving side wedge block 38d and a work side wedge block 38w, a driving side hydraulic cylinder 1d and a work side wedge block 1w are operated and a work side and a driving side of a straightening roll 8a on the entry are subjected to rolling reduction exactly by a prescribed rolling reduction. In this case, a position detecting means of the driving side wedge block 38d and the work side wedge block 38w detects a moving position to a reference position of each wedge block, compares and calculates both detected values by a controller 4, a hydraulic cylinder of the driving or work side is operated, the position of the wedge block is corrected, both the wedge blocks are moved smoothly and a flatness failure of a rolling mill 10 is straightened with high accuracy.
