Abstract:
To provide a rolling restraining device for a ship for quickly restraining rolling in response to a meteorological state, by avoiding an installation cost increase in the rolling restraining device, without damping the rolling restraining effect.
This rolling restraining device 100 for the ship includes: a meshing chain type advance-retreat operation device 110 having a meshing chain unit 111 forming a chain rigid part by mutually meshing a pair of meshing chains, and advancing-retreating along the vertical direction D1 by freely branching off without mutually meshing the pair of meshing chains, and a chain driving unit; and a weight fixing part 120 arranged in the tip vicinity of the chain rigid part and fixing a weight W.
