Abstract:

To provide a rolling sliding component capable of reducing sliding resistance in spite of higher surface roughness of a contact surface with a counter member and controlling generation of faulty surfaces such as peeling damage for a long period.

The rolling sliding component is provided to have relatively rolling contact, sliding contact, or both contacts with the counter member having surface roughness Ra of 0.2 μm or more. Partially exposed fine particles 21, which are buried in a coated layer directly formed on or above a preset surface with surface roughness Ra of 0.1 μm or less, exist on a contact surface with the counter member.
