A cab 2 is provided on an upper part of a leading part of the rolling stock 1, and shock absorbing blocks 30 (31 and 41) are provided under the cab 2. A windshield of the cab 2 and a tip part of the shock absorbing blocks 30 are substantially flush with each other. The shock absorbing blocks 30 are fitted to a car body 10 as an exchangeable and attachable/detachable unit. The shock absorbing blocks 30 are squeezed in the longitudinal direction of the car body. When a collision with a load carring platform 110, etc., of a large vehicle 111 occurs, the shock absorbing blocks 30 are squeezed in the longitudinal direction of the car body 10 to absorb collision energy, and mitigate the transmission of a shock to the passengers in succeeding car bodies.
