Inner and outer rings 1, 2 are produced by subjecting a steel having a composition comprising 0.2 to 1.2% C, 0.15 to 2.0% Si, 0.2 to 2.0% Mn, 0.5 to 2.0% Cr, ≤2.0% Mo, ≤2.0% V and ≤12 ppm O, and the balance Fe with inevitable impurities to carburizing or carbonitriding. In the surface layer part forming raceway surfaces 1a, 2a, N+C=0.7 to 4.0%, γR is 20 to 40%, and Hv is ≥650. A roller 3 is produced by subjecting a steel having a composition comprising 0.2 to 1.2% C, 0.4 to 2.0% Si, 0.2 to 2.0% Mn, 0.5 to 2.0% Cr and ≤12 ppm O, and the balance Fe with inevitable impurities to heat treatment including carbonitriding. The surface layer part forming a rolling surface 3a comprises 0.20 to 2.00% N and 0.7 to 4.0% N+C, and has γR of 20 to 24% and Hv of ≥700, and the surface roughness of the rolling surface 3a is reduced compared with that of the raceway surfaces 1a, 2a.
