Abstract:
To prevent the write of illegal data into a ROM chip component.
Concerning a ROM chip component 30 to be used as a ROM for game control for a game machine, a control circuit 32 is interposed between a main body 31 of ROM storing programs or the like and a write terminal WR for accepting data for write to this main body 31 of ROM. This control circuit 32 has a password storage part 34 for storing a peculiar password into this ROM chip component 33 and a control part 35. The control part 35 collates a password inputted from the write terminal WR with stored data in the password storage part 34 and only when the both are coincident, data for write to be inputted later are sent out to the main body 31 of ROM.
