A roof material 1 is provided with a solar battery 20 having a panel shape, a surface member 11 in which this solar battery 20 is housed, and a backup member 12 which is attached on the back side of this surface member 11. At the edge part on the downstream side of the backup member 12, a recessed notch part 12g is formed. A lead wire 22 for electric power outlet of the solar battery 20 is pulled out from a lead wire housing recess 11c of the surface member 11 to the front side of the roof material 1, is passed through the recessed notch part 12g of the roof material 1 on the downstream side, and is wired so as to ride over a water proof rib 11d.
