In the roof pantile, mutually suitable notches 12, 13 are formed on the corner parts of the side of the tail parts 16 of the glazing parts 14 of the rectangular pantiles 10, 10' and on the corner part of the side of the head part 17 of an insertion part 15 respectively. On the roof tile projection pieces 18, 18' thinner than the tile body are projected into the notches 12 of the side of the tail parts 16 of the glazing parts 14 of the pantiles 10, 10', and recess parts 20, 20' corresponding to the projection pieces 18, 18' are formed on a part adjacent to the notch part 13 of the side of the head parts of the insertion parts 15 of the pantiles 10, 10'. Projection parts 21, 21' engaged with the ends of the projection pieces 18, 18' are provided on one end of the recess parts 20, 20', and even when the pantiles 10, 10' are flapped by strong wind, the projection parts 21, 21' of the recess parts 20, 20' are engaged with the ends of the projection pieces 18, 18', which are prevented from being stripped from the recess parts 20, 20'.
