To provide a roof structure which can be constructed without being placed on a heat shielding sheet material, and which enables an air space to be formed between a sheathing roof board and the heat shielding sheet material with a glossy undersurface.
In this roof structure, a plurality of crosspieces 5 are arranged in parallel with one another at predetermined spacings toward a ridge side of the sheathing roof board 2 from an eaves side thereof on the sheathing roof board 2, and a tile 6 is laid via the heat shielding sheet material 8. The heat shielding sheet material 8 is composed of a plurality of sheet portions 9 with a predetermined length and a predetermined width dimension, and the plurality of sheet portions 9 are arranged in such a manner as to be laid among top surface portions of the crosspieces 5, respectively.
