PURPOSE: To reduce the cost by arranging small beams over the whole surface of a roof and locating a series of braces in succession only at the four corner parts, as seen from a plane, of a roof along a direction extending from topmost parts on both sides to both sides of the central part of the roof.
CONSTITUTION: Plane arch truss 4 each comprising an upper chord member 1, a lower chord member 2, and a lattice material 3 are intercoupled through small beams 5 and braces 6 to form a frame in the shape of a rectangle in a plane. A series of the braces 6 are arranged in succession only at the four corner parts, as seen from a plane, of a roof along a direction extending from the topmost parts of the two ends of the roof toward both parts of a central part of the roof. A horizontal external force K exerted on a roof is transmitted directly to the base part of the truss 4 at an intermediate part through a series of the braces 6. This structure eliminates the braces at the central part of the roof and reduces a cost through reduction of a steel amount.
