Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rooftop greening system capable of saving water through utilizing rainwater, capable of making the inside of a growing base constantly keep the moisture condition suitable for growing plants without any necessity of a motor such as a pump, and causing no intrusion of roots into a water storage tank so that contamination at the inside of the tank or problems such as malfunction of the tank can be prevented.
SOLUTION: The rooftop greening system is made by laying a water- conveyance sheet 8 over the bottom surface part of a plant growing base 3 so as to supply water to soil via the water-conveyance sheet 8. In this system, the end part 7a of a drainage sheet 7 and the end part 8a of the water- conveyance sheet 8 are extended and soaked in a water storage tank 4, a small gap d is formed between the side of the plant growing base 3 and the water storage tank 4. The end parts 7a and 8a are bent at their center positions to be formed into U shapes by pushing a root-proofing dam plate 12 into the gap d so as to be disposed and closely fixed to the inside of the gap d, and the end parts 7a and 8a are bent again at their outer end parts into L shapes while soaked in the water storage tank 4.
