PURPOSE: To prevent a harm from being extended when an operator is involved in crime by prohibiting the lock of a door without accepting processing when it is detected there are more than two persons in a room, locking the door when the operator pushes an emergency button down and notifying an emergent condition to an external part.

CONSTITUTION: After a door 6 is opened by an operator 5, when a state that the door 6 is closed is not detected even after the lapse of a fixed time, an automatic teller machine (ATM) 1 executes guidance display to promote to close the door and the processing is not accepted until the door 6 is closed. Thus, since there is only a space for one person in an operating space 3 even when the operator is forced to pay money by a robber, the operator 5 can be separated from the robber. Further, the operator 5 locks the door 6 for input / output by pushing an emergency button 7 down according to the guidance display of the ATM 1 after it is confirmed that the door is closed. Then, the emergent condition is notified to a security company or the external part of the room, where a cash handling device is set, by a notifying means or a flashing lamp 9. Thus, the operator can be free from the threat of the rubber.
