Abstract:
To provide a room lamp for vehicles effective in preventing an occupant from getting motion sickness due to reading or the like.SOLUTION: A room lamp system has a control unit 2 (lamp ECU) including vibration detection means 4 that detects a vibration occurring in a vehicle, and lighting control means 5 that controls lighting of a room lamp 1 according to a degree of the detected vibration. When there is a fear that the detected vibration may cause motion sickness, the control unit 2 decreases the luminous intensity of the room lamp 1. When the vibration of the vehicle becomes remarkable, the luminous intensity of the room lamp 1 is decreased. This disables an occupant from looking at a book or the like. Accordingly, the occupant is prevented from getting motion sickness.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
