Abstract:
PURPOSE: To reduce the level of the noises generated by sucking air by providing a cylindrical flow straightener around the outer periphery of a bellmouth between a sucking filter and the sucking opening of a turbo fan.
CONSTITUTION: A cylindrical flow straightener 23 having an inside diameter larger than the diameter of the sucking opening of a turbo fan 3 and smaller than the outside diameter of the turbo fan 3 is provided around the outer periphery of a bellmouth 22 between a sucking filter 6 and the sucking opening of the turbo fan 3. The air being drawn in from the sucking filter 6 is allowed to partially flow along a fan blade 3a of the turbo fan 3 via the cylindrical flow straightener 23 and the bellmouth 22, as shown by the arrow E. By the cylindrical flow straightener 23, therefore, the occurrence of the turbulence of the air drawn in a mounting member 21 can be prevented, whereby the level of the noises generated by sucking air can be reduced.
