PURPOSE: To obtain a root canal filler having drug effect according to the object as well as physical sealing capability and capable of being tightly filled in a root canal having complicate shape, by using a silicone-based cold-curing liquid rubber as a base material.

CONSTITUTION: A silicone-based cold-curing liquid rubber is used as a base material and is compounded with various drugs such as iodoform, hydroxyapatite, sodium fluoride or calcium hydroxide according to the purpose. The filler takes liquid or pasty state in filling to facilitate the filling under pressure and is firmly bonded to the root canal wall. It is converted to a rubber elastomer after curing to physically close the root canal. Furthermore, the drug action of the compound drug can be expected.
