Abstract:
To provide a root canal instrument made from a nickel-titanium alloy, which solve the problems of difficulty of bending, and low cutting and drilling properties and has improved cutting and drilling properties.
The root canal instrument 1 has a core 7 composed of a flexible elastic material having a shape memory effect, and the core 7 has a coating with abrasive particles. Thus, the core 7 is made from a nickel titanium alloy or a plastic material, a carbon fiber reinforced plastic material preferably, and the flexibility of the coating is matched to the flexibility of the core 7.
