Abstract:
To provide the root gap detection method for a fillet joint by an arc sensor signal obtained from a high speed rotating arc welding method.
In the high speed rotating arc welding, by detecting rotation positions (CF, R, Cr, L) of an arc, arc voltage wave forms or welding current wave forms at each rotation position, by integrating the detected wave forms in a prescribed range and by comparing the integrated value to a reference value, thus, a groove root gap of the fillet joint is detected.
