PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for rope high place work and a method for rope high place work that can contribute to improving safety and workability of rope high place work.SOLUTION: A device 1 for rope high place work includes a main rope 2, a life line 3, and a safety belt 4 attached to the main rope 2 and the life line 3. The life line 3 includes: extension belts 13 with ring-like parts 11 on both ends which are configured so that a plurality of them can be added via connection tools K, and in which a plurality of the ring-like parts 11 are also provided in the intermediate part at intervals in a lengthwise direction; and a branch connection body 14 connected to any one of the ring-like parts 11.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
