Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate the need of early replacement of a lining, and to reduce damages to a rope caused by confirming operation.SOLUTION: A rope brake device of an elevator comprises: brake parts arranged in a pair and arranged at a position where a rope wound around a sheave and a pulley in a hoist, suspending a car at one end side thereof, and suspending a balancing weight at the other end side thereof, can be caught and held; and a drive part that is de-energized or energized during braking time, and which is caught and held sandwiching a portion of the rope by the brake parts. The rope brake device also comprises a controller that gradually attenuates or amplifies a voltage supplied to the drive part and controls the rope to be caught and held slowly by the drive parts when confirming operation of the rope brake device.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
