Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact rope drive type forward or backward motion unit capable of performing a precise forward or backward motion of a cylindrical hollow member.SOLUTION: A rope drive type forward or backward motion unit 1a includes a column-like base member 10 having a first thread part 13 at its outer circumference, and a cylindrical hollow member 20 having at its inner circumference a second thread part engaged in thread with the first thread part 13 of the column-like base member 10 and at its outer circumference a rope winding groove 25 in a helical manner and having the same shaft center as that of the column-like base member 10. A first drive rope 41 wound along a rope winding groove 25 of the cylindrical hollow member 20 and a second drive rope 42 wound along the rope winding groove 25 of which winding direction becoming in reverse to that of the first drive rope 41 are properly drawn out to enable the cylindrical hollow member 20 to be moved forward or rearward in respect to the column-like base member 10.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
