PURPOSE: To prevent rot of the wood material by placing the water soluble solid wood preserving agent such as powder or the like in an insertion hole of a wood material, and sealing an opening of the insertion hole.
CONSTITUTION: The wood preserving agent is an agent part 5 prepared by solidifying a water soluble antiseptic mixture by a water soluble binder, and having the shape of a rod to be inserted into an insertion hole 4, and a wood closure body 6 is fixed to one end part thereof for sealing the opening of the insertion hole 4, to be used as the treatment agent 7. The agent is inserted into the insertion hole 4 of a pillar 3 from an agent part 5 of the treatment agent 7, and the closure body 6 is pressed to the opening of the insertion hole 4 to close the opening of the insertion hole 4, whereby the rot prevention treatment of the pillar 3 is completed. The water is permeated into the pillar when the pillar 3 in which the treatment agent 7 is inserted, is wetted by the water. The binding agent and the agent components of the agent part 5 of the treatment agent 7 in the insertion hole 4 is dissolved by the permeated water, and permeated and diffused into the pillar 3 with the permeated water. Whereby the wood can be preserved by the agent permeation part 5A.
