Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a compact rotary actuator with good torque transmission efficiency and log life.
CONSTITUTION: This rotary actuator 11 is provided with a hollow cylinder tube 20, a piston 17 which slides inside the cylinder tube 20, and a rod 12 rotating with the sliding of the piston 17. The piston 17 is formed parallel to the sliding direction, and is provided with an integrated female magnetic screw 15 having a spiral magnetic band at the whole inner periphery. The rod 12 is rotatably fitted onto the female magnetic screw 15 and is provided with an integrated male magnetic screw 14 having a spiral magnetic band at the whole outer periphery. By sliding the piston 17, a male magnetic screw 14 receives magnetic force from the female magnetic screw 15 to rotate the rod 12.
