PURPOSE: To provide a relatively easily manufacturable hydraulic rotary actuator reducing separative friction, having high output torque as compared with a dimension and weight and reducing the part number by using an inelastic seal and the other drag generating seal between inner movable parts.
CONSTITUTION: A pin 3 is pressed in a plastic rotor 1 and a shaft 2. When fitting the rotor 1 and two stationary blades 6 forming a housing chamber inside a space of a housing 4, a fluid chamber 22 is formed of a space between the rotor 1 and the stationary blades 6. When a pressurized fluid enters the fluid chamber 22 by passing through a fluid port 7, pressure applied between the rotor 1 and the stationary blades 6 rotates the rotor 1 and the shaft 2. The rotor 1 rotates by about 90 degrees, and reaches the final position 21 to contact with an opposite side surface of the stationary blades 6 in the position. The rotor 1 is simultaneously slidingly fitted between moving parts in three main places of boundary surfaces 17, 19 and a boundary surface with an end part plate to hydraulically seal the fluid chamber 22.
