Abstract:
PURPOSE:To prevent the running face of a flexible tape from injuries even if the air bearing effect is off by rotating a cylindrical air bearing with jet nozzles 3 freely. CONSTITUTION:A main body 6 with an opening 6'' to jet out air and a cylindrical roller 2 with jet nozzles 3 to cover the opening 6'' of the main body 6 are provided. This cylindrical roller 6 fitted up on a shaft 6' of the main body 6 by a snap ring 5 with ball bearings 4 and 4' between. Besides, a nipple 7 is set up to the main body for supplying air to the main body. In the opening 6'' of the main body 6, a part ''a'' to float a flexible tape 1 is opened for supplying jet pressure. The opening 6'' is covered by the cylindrical roller 2 with jet nozzles 3. Since the cylindrical roller 2 is rotated freely round the shaft of its geometric centre of rotation, it is rotated with the running of the flexible tape 1 to prevent the flexible tape from injuries.
