Title:
ROTARY ANODE FOR X-RAY TUBE USING INTERFERENCE FIT
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2004003653
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To provide a rotary anode for a X-ray tube using an interference fit.

In assembling the rotary X-ray tube 30 having an electron emitting cathode, a rotor 58 and a bearing assembly 130 for accelerating the rotation of the anode, an interference fit assembly is applied between the bearing assembly 130 and the rotor 58. Desirably, a rotor hub 128 of the rotor 58 is selected which has a thermal expansion coefficient for strictly matching the thermal expansion coefficient of a shaft 61 of the bearing assembly 130 to the synthetic thermal expansion coefficient of the rotor assembly 132, so that the shaft 61 of the rotary hub 128 and an opening are formed corresponding to the allowable error of the interference fit and joined to each other.
