Abstract:
To make a rotary apparatus thin while maintaining or improving strength of a base of a drive part of the rotary apparatus.
A rotary apparatus 100 includes: a hub 28 on which a magnetic recording disk 8 should be mounted; a base 5 which supports the hub 28 in a rotatable matter via a bearing; a shaft 26 which extends along a rotational shaft R of the hub 28; and a chassis 4 which faces the magnetic recording disk 8 and has a Young's modulus smaller than a Young's modulus of the base 5. A base hole 4j is provided on an upper surface 4g of the chassis 4 facing the magnetic recording disk 8 along the rotational shaft R. The base 5 is fixed to the chassis 4 by being fit into the base hole 4j.
