PURPOSE: To reduce a size and weight and to improve the run-out of a coating material so as to stabilize coating quality by providing a valve mechanism for turning the coating material on and off near a nozzle.
CONSTITUTION: A cylindrical body 20 integrally having the nozzle 21 at its front end is disposed within a revolving shaft mounted with an atomizing head at the front end. A coating material supplying pipe 22 is disposed freely movably forward and backward within the cylindrical body 20. An annular movable body 25 and a spring 26 for energizing the movable body 25 to the coating material supplying pipe 22 side are disposed within the nozzle 21. A valve member 27 having two valve disks 29, 30 is connected to the coating material supplying pipe 22. Consequently, the two valve disks 29, 30 are parted from and seated to both surfaces of the movable body 25 according to the forward and backward movements of the coating material supplying pipe 22 to selectively open a coating material discharge port 31 provided in the valve member 27 to a return passage 23 and the nozzle 21 side. The one valve 30 of the valve member 27 is parted from and seated to the valve seat part 21e of the nozzle 21 by pushing the movable body 25 by the coating material supplying pipe 22, by which the coating material is turned on and off.
