To provide a core for an electric machine comprising a first laminate having a first staple, a second laminate having a second staple and a second hole, and a third laminate having a third hole and a third opening.

First and second laminates are turned mutually such that a first staple penetrates a second hole and then bent onto the second laminate thus bonding the first and second laminates to each other. Similarly, the second and third laminates are turned mutually such that a second staple penetrates a third hole and then bent onto the third laminate thus bonding the second and third laminates to each other. Furthermore the first staple bent onto the second laminate enters the third opening.
