To provide a rotary blade for a cutter with which the cutting efficiency of a material to be cut is raised and yet the material to be cut is cut in a state for ready composting and a general-purpose cutter.

The edge 50C of the rotary blade 50 to be used for the general- purpose cutter is inclined by a fixed angle to an stationary blade so as to readily cut the material to be cut. In this case, the material to be cut has a tendency of leaving in the inclination direction in cutting, however, in the invention, since the edge 50C is equipped with a plurality of recessed grooves 66 at fixed intervals, the material to be cut is caught by the recessed grooves 66 and surely cut. Consequently, the cutting efficiency of the material to be cut is raised. Furthermore, since the material to be cut is cut in a state being caught by the recessed grooves 66, the material to be cut is finely cut as it is torn off. Consequently, the cut material is readily composted.
