Title:
ROTARY BODY SUPPORTING EQUIPMENT
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH11215767
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To provide a compact mechanism for holding the position of a rotary body with no power, at stoppage of the rotary body.

A rotary body supporting equipment 1 is constituted of a supporting stand 2, a rotary body 3 rotatably installed in the supporting stand 2, a motor 4 connected directly to the rotary body 3, and braking mechanism 10. The braking mechanism 10 is constituted of an electromagnet 11, a flat spring 12 for pushing out the electromagnet 11 towards the rotary body 3, a permanent magnet 13 mounted on the rotary body 3, a power supplying section 14 which supplies to the electromagnet 11 a current in a direction such that the permanent magnet 13 is repelled magnetically, and a holding section 15 set on an inner face of the electromagnet 11 so that it is able to advance and retreat. As a result of this structure, power can be saved, since there is no need for excitation for stoppage or stationary state and furthermore, wear of gears, backlashes can be eliminated, and there is no requirement of space for a speed reducer.
