Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain a homogeneous calcined product with excellent productivity by a method wherein an openable lid is opened by a calcining work throwing mechanism only when a supplying port is positioned above a tubular furnace body while the calcining work is thrown into the tubular furnace body through a supplying hole opened by an opening and closing unit.
CONSTITUTION: When a supplying port 4 is positioned above a cylindrical furnace body 2, an opening and closing unit 12 opens an openable lid 6 to open the supplying port 4, then, calcining substances are thrown into the cylindrical furnace body 2. The cylindrical furnace body 2 is filled with the thrown calcinating works and calcination is effected. In this case, both ends of the cylindrical furnace body 2 are blockaded whereby a large amount of calcinating works can be charged. On the other hand, calcined works are discharged to the outside through a discharging hole 5. The forming position of the discharging hole 5 is related with the charging amount of the works to be calcined and the staying time of the same in the furnace body while the charging amount is increased and the staying time in the furnace body can be elongated when the discharging hole 5 is approached to the axial center of the cylindrical furnace body 2 or the outer diameter of the discharging hole 5 is reduced.
