PURPOSE: To improve the fine powder classification capability and the response characteristic of a mill while the pressure difference in the mill being controlled at a low level.
CONSTITUTION: In the rotary classifier of a mill, powder which is pulverized in the pulverization part of the mill and ascends with transfer air 10 is classified into fine powder 8a which passes through a rotary impeller in the upper part of the mill from the outside to the inside and coarse powder 8b which drops to the pulverization part of the mill by being repelled by the rotary impeller 24. The rotary impeller 14 is formed by an intake classification impeller 23 with an intake angle β in the fine powder 8a intake direction to the rotational direction S of the rotary impeller 24, and auxiliary blade 25 which extends in the opposite direction to the rotational direction S of the rotary impeller 24 is formed at the peripheral end of each intake classification blade 23.
