In a rotary compressor, the chamfer shape in the compression chamber side is made larger than the chamfer shape in the suction chamber side in the shape in the cylinder inner diameter side of a blade slide groove 22 to make communication between a delivery port and the minute space surrounded by a blade 5, a cylinder 2 and a roller 3 at a time of compression completion. Consequently, liquid is kept in the minute space part in the compression chamber side and irregular pressure rise due to liquid compression can be avoided even of liquid refrigerant is sucked in the cylinder chamber and liquid compression is performed.
