The eccentricity variable mechanism (12) for varying the eccentricity of a movable member (25) is applied to a rotary compressor (10) equipped with a plurality of compressing chambers (41, 42, ...) whose timings when the internal pressure becomes highest in one rotation of a rotational shaft (33) are different with one another. Alternatively, in a scroll type rotary compressor (10) wherein the eccentricity variable mechanism (12) is applied, the structure supporting the rotational shaft (33) is made into a twin holding structure sandwiching an eccentric part (35).
