To provide a rotary compressor having an oil supply mechanism, configured to prevent a countershaft part of a rotational shaft from being deformed or increased in diameter.
A rotary compressor includes an oil supply mechanism 159 supplying lubricating oil stored in a lower part of a compressor casing, to a sliding part of a compressor through an oil supply vertical hole 155 and oil supply horizontal holes 156 of a rotational shaft 15. The oil supply mechanism 159 includes: a fitting vertical hole 155b larger in inner diameter than the oil supply vertical hole 155, and formed in the countershaft part 151 at the lower part of the rotational shaft 15; an oil supply pipe 16 having a suction port 16a formed at a lower end, opened at the top, formed by press-fitting an upper part into the fitting vertical hole 155b, and made from material softer than that of the rotational shaft; and a pump impeller 157 having an impeller part 157a formed in a shape of an elongated plate made of a steel plate harder than the material of the oil supply pipe, having a width narrower than an inner diameter of the oil supply pipe 16 and an inner diameter of the oil supply vertical hole 155, twisted, and inserted into the oil supply vertical hole 155 with a space therebetween, and a base part 157b formed to be wider than the impeller part 157a and pressed and fixed into the lower part of the oil supply pipe 16 projected below the fitting vertical hole 155b.
