PURPOSE: To prevent malfunction in start caused by attraction phenomenon of a rotor to a stator by fixing a compression element to a hermetically sealed case via a mounting member mounted on the lower surface of a cylinder block.
CONSTITUTION: A mounting member 22 is set on the lower part inside a hermetically sealed case 1 and fixed to the case by spot-welding a flange part 23 to the case body. A cylinder block 12 is loaded on this mounting member 22 to which the cylinder block 12 is fixed by screwing a bolt 28 into the screw hole 27 of the mounting member 22 via the hole 26 of a mounting boss part 25 from the bottom side of this member 22. Because the mounting member 22 is attached to the bottom surface of the cylinder block 12, a clearance form it forward a coil end 29 can be secured.
